at the Unitarian Universalist Church.
We have been asked to play for the Montessori School Parent Meeting.
I am asking for volunteers of any instrument to perform. For violin - I would love to have
a few Twinklers, a Book One student, a Book 2 or 3 student,
and our advanced group play one of their pieces.
Please contact me if you would like to perform.

Spring Break*All students*No Private and Group Classes*April 6-14, 2009

If you have private lessons on Monday, April 13 or Tuesday, April 14 they
will have to be rescheduled. Please speak to your private teacher to reschedule.

Violin Group Class Schedule Changes -
All are on Mondays. Right now while we do not have enrichment class from 4:15 - 4:30.
3:45 - 4:30  Twinkle - Minuet 1 (I will let the Twinklers leave at 4:15)
4:15 - 5:15  Minuet 2 - Book 4 (I will let the early Book 1 students leave near 4:30)
5:00 - 6:00  Book 5 and up (Starting earlier to mentor the less advanced students)
As you noticed, the plan is to overlap the groups so our more advanced
students are able to review their earlier pieces with the other students. I
would like to have the advanced students lead some of the pieces for the
next concert. Students may leave when we pass their most advanced piece.
  • The second group (4:15) and third group (5:00) need to go out on the porch
to tune before joining the class, so we are not interrupted when
    each student joins the group.
  • The door near the piano will be locked from now on to insure there
will be no interruptions. I will unlock the other door to the porch.
  • The Group Classroom has been quite loud lately. Parents, please give
the students participating in class the respect they deserve and go
outside if you need to talk.
  • Students need to arrive on time, especially for the 3:45 class. It is not
fair and respectful to the students who are on time to interrupt their
class each time a late student arrives and needs their violin tuned.
Some parents may need to pick their children up earlier from school.
We have never had a school principal complain because a student
(usually an "A" student) needs to leave early one day a week for
    violin class!
