We sure had a great time at camp and I’m glad that so many of you had the opportunity to attend. Maybe next year we will also have camp in New York. SCHEDULE The fall semester begins on Monday, August 18, 2008 with private lessons that week. Violin Group Classes and Solfege Classes begin the following week on Monday, August 25th. I have included a schedule and registration form (please update all info and return to me) with your invoice. The schedule will be updated on our website with all new information whenever it is available at www.gulfcoastmusic.org. Check it often. This is where concerts, workshops and events are listed. Please contact your private teacher to confirm your lesson day and time. SOLFEGE Dr. Asya Teruni will now be teaching three levels in her Wednesday Solfege Classes. 3:30 - 4:00 Level 1 - Beginners 4:00 - 4:30 Level 2 - Intermediate 4:30 - 5:00 Level 3 - Upper Intermediate These group classes are for ALL INSTRUMENTS by level/age and the cost is included in your tuition. Your private lesson teacher can tell you know which level class to attend. Please enjoy this opportunity to learn music reading, writing and theory in addition to your private lessons. TUITION Tuition is due before your first lesson of the semester. I have had to increase the tuition slightly. 19 Weeks of 30 minute lessons is $684. If you make two payments, the ½ payments are $342 each. I hope this will not cause a hardship for you. Please contact me with any concerns. Pennies for Charity Practice Contest ~ 8/25/08 through 10/27/2008 All instrumentalists may participate. For every review piece you play, collect one penny from your parent or practice helper. Parents - It’s like money in the bank. KEEP A RUNNING COUNT OF YOUR PENNYS! Each Monday at Violin Group Class we will add your pennies to our collection. At the end of the contest on October 27th, the winner gets to choose and announce where the money goes! CAMPUS CHORD CLUB/Southwest Florida Symphony THE BEST MUSICAL DEAL AROUND! For a ONE TIME fee of $15 students in grades K-12 can enjoy concerts and learn about music throughout their school years at great savings. Chord Club members can purchase as many as 3 tickets per concert weekend for only $4 each. These tickets are subject to availability and can only be purchased during the two weeks immediately preceding the concert. Tickets must be purchased through the Symphony Box Office.
